Rheinmetall said Monday that it has been commissioned by Germany to supply an additional 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.
The order, placed in August, is worth a high double-digit million-euro amount, the German company said.
The order brings the total number of the vehicles to be supplied by Rheinmetall to Ukraine to 80, the company said.
“The vehicles being made available are overhauled Marder 1A3 systems formerly owned by the Bundeswehr,” Rheinmetall said.
The company added that it can deliver up to ten infantry fighting vehicles a month.
