Brooge Energy said on Wednesday it hired the law firm of Freshfields Bruckhaus Derringer to advise the company on a takeover proposal from Gulf Navigation Holdings.
The Dubai-listed maritime and shipping company said on Oct. 3 that it had submitted a proposal to acquire all Brooge’s businesses and assets. Brooge is a Cayman Islands-based infrastructure provider involved in clean petroleum products, biofuels, crude oil storage and related services.
Freshfields has jurisdiction in the U.S. and the United Arab Emirates, which makes it well positioned to provide expert legal advice during this process, Brooge Energy said.
