Bank deposits, lending climb in latest week:Fed

Invesitng.com — Bank deposits, and lending rose in the week ended Sep. 20, the latest data Friday from the Fed showed.

Deposits at large U.S. banks rose by $48.70 billion to $17.345 trillion from a week earlier, on a seasonally adjusted basis.

Commercial bank lending climbed by $3B to a seasonally adjusted $12.201T during the week, the Fed data showed.

Residential real estate lending rose $5.2B, commercial real estate loans fell by $2.2B from a the week earlier, while consumer loans increased by $3.1B from the prior week.
